This place was not on our must-try list and we'd never even heard of it, so how did we end up here? Long story short, we had planned to eat lunch elsewhere, but they didn't have any seating for our toddler, so we were headed to Plum Market in the same strip and just picked it (to be honest, it was this or Subway, and we're all about trying new places). When we saw Yelp had no reviews for it, we knew we HAD to go! It's just a tiny little place that, upon entering, you can see is mostly for take-out or delivery because there are just a few token tables in there, there are no decorations, and their paper take-out menu is the only menu, etc. Which is fine, really, except that this meant no high chairs for our toddler (and of course we hadn't thrown his booster seat in the car) so it made for an interesting meal for us! We sat ourselves and started looking at the menu, and there was a fairly constant stream of people coming in to pick up their food. I was surprised when a guy came over to take our order, as I had just assumed I'd have to go up and order at the counter. He was very nice, answered our questions, gave some recommendations, and we ordered the Crab Rangoon, Mongolian Beef, and General Tso's Chicken. We asked for water and he gave us a choice of bottled or tap, and we chose tap. The rangoon came out quickly--on a disposable plate, which just reaffirmed that this was mainly a take-out place. But the rangoon were good. Not the best I've had, but certainly not the worst--and the dipping sauce was good (eating as much Chinese as we do, you'd think I'd know what that sauce is by now...it's not sweet and sour, it's not plum...it's that orange-y sweet sauce). But I digress. Our meals came our pretty quickly, too (piping hot!)--again in the actual take-out containers. And our tap waters came in tiny styrofoam cups (with no ice) that had about three good sips in it. Boo hiss. I don't mind not having actual plates. Or eating from a take-out container. Or getting tap water with no ice. But at least give me a little bit bigger cup or something. I've given stars for how restaurants handle water and drink refills, so am taking one away here. But back to the food--it was actually quite good. Honestly. Hubby's chicken was moist and tender and not too sweet (like it can be) and my beef was very tasty, although I enjoy my mongolian beef with just beef and onions, and this had some huge veggie mix (celery, carrots, red pepper, onions, bamboo shoots, and peapods) which means I ended up not eating/ tossing half my dish because, to me, those just. don't. go. in that dish. We also each ordered spice-level medium, and it was just perfect: just enough to make your nose run a little, but not enough to keep you from eating. Overall the service was good, the food was surprisingly good (you never know with strip mall places), and the prices were good ...it's just not really a place you want to GO to eat. Take-out? Yes. Delivery? Yes. Eat-in? Not so much. So it was A-OK. Nothing I'd go out of my way for again (it's nowhere near close to our house) but some place I'd definitely order from if I lived close by. P.S. I couldn't remember if they had delivery on their menu, so I googled and it appears delivery is handled by Restaurant Connection ( callrc.com/restaurants ).

Taken out pints of shrimp and chicken fried rice on three occasions over a month's time. Hard to find more than 4 or 5 tiny pieces of either. Called to complain and was told "okay" and hung up on me.

My go to Chinese in the area. Never been let down. Good portions, good prices. It's exactly what you'd expect. Good, cheap Chinese. Sometimes you just want some good old fashioned cheap Chinese...

This place is a shit show. The front desk receptionist was super rude while taking my order. I decided to speak with the boss / chef. After getting my order my General Tsao Chicken was garbage. The rice I ordered was basically rice dipped in molasses, eggroll had expired beansprouts, and my chicken looked like they didn't give a shit. A couple days later I decided to return to Ming-Lee to order something different, maybe they just have garbage chicken. I decided to order Beef and Broccoli. They fucked me over again. The broccolli was yellow but the beef was good. The sauce (hoi-sen sauce) had no flavor. WARNING IF YOU WANT TO WASTE MONEY AND KILL YOURSELF COME TO MING-LEE

Not a pleasant experience. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken & Mongolian Shrimp and we were unable to finish our meals. The only thing we found to be edible were the crispy wontons, served with our soup.

How can anyone rate this more than 2-3 stars? Even for an America oozed Chinese restaurant it's average at best. Food is overlooked, loaded with MSG to compensate, and flooded with corn starch laden gravy. If you are looking for MSG soup, come here. Otherwise, take a longer drive and go find some better food.

Sometimes you just have a craving for that MSG-laden, sugar infused indulgence that is americanized Chinese. Ming Lee seems to fit the bill. Their General Tso's won't remind anyone of trips to some family-run hole in the wall in Chengdu, or at least I doubt it would, but it's exactly what I'm looking for when I want it. Crispy but tender, deeply BBQ-ey brown in color (though not overrun with sauce), not too sweet, with a definite kick of heat, it's what it should be. I can't vouch for the rest of the menu, and the place is the quintessential strip mall dive, but it's worth checking out for the General's chicken.

Once was enough to eat food from this place. We felt like ordering Chinese food and this was the closest location we could find. When I ordered the food over the phone the person taking my order said he could not give me a total. That was the first red flag. When I went to pick up the food I noticed the two employees were wearing dirty clothes and no uniform. The man at the counter was nice but looked like he did not want to be there. The food total was overpriced for what we got. The quality of the food was not that great. The only thing I liked was the crab ran-goon. We did not eat everything because it really was not very appetizing and did not keep well to eat a second day for leftovers. I will not visit this restaurant again. We are still trying to find a decent Chinese food restaurant in the area.

It was the holidays. Plum was out of pizza, Buddy's had a line out the door, Subway sounded gross to me that night, and Ming-Lee's sign was illuminated, the lobby seemingly empty. I strolled in and the kid working the counter was attentive. But I have to be honest, It was fresh, but not 5 stars! It is a chinese take-out counter, no where NEAR a whoo-hoo. Lots of homemade signs and notes, a large menu and what you would expect out of a take out joint. If you go seeking warm chinese food, you'll be pleased. If you were hopeful for an out-of-this-world-experience, I fear you will be disappointed.

Pleasantly surprised! Ordered carry-out -- Kung pao Chicken, wanton soup and an egg roll. The veggies in the kung pao were fresh and crispy, the chicken was definitely good quality (stirfried, not deep fried), and the egg roll was really good, too. I'll definitely go back.

I read some of the reviews and sorry to say, I was really hesitant, but didn't feel like cooking. The neon spoke to me from across the parking lot, once inside it was not what you would expect, even for a take out restaurant. I agree with other ratings. They atmosphere and decor is not inviting. The staff at the counter was polite. I ordered broccoli and rice. Once my order was ready it came to me in a white bag stapled closed. Arrive home to prepare my meal and every piece of broccoli was more yellow then green. I was so disappointed! I did not eat it! I should have gone with my first thought. I will not go back.

Ordered a delivery. The Almond Boneless Chicken was delivered as a cut up chicken breast with a side of watery gravy. No bed of lettuce, no almond sprinkles. A tiny amount of rice. Doesn't qualify even as average

We frequent this place for take out. Overall good Chinese food. Usually grab the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and couple other dishes.

This place is the best Chinese take out I've ever had around here. The sweet and sour shrimp- sauce on the side- is amazing, the singapore chow mei fun - extra spicy- is sooo good. Its always so fresh and delicious. Those two are my favorite dishes but I've had almost everything on the menu and nothing has dissapointed me! Everyone I know loves carryouts from here and everytime I pick up mine there's always more ordered waiting to be picked up. Oh and Restaurant Connection delivers it to me too! PS their spring rolls are really yummy and fresh too - I have to eat them right when they are done and cannot resist.

This is the best chinese food in the area! There is a small dining area, but it's mainly carryout. I've tried a lot of the other carryout chinese places and this is by far the best...I always get General Tsao chicken, and unlike other places that have soggy breading, this place has crisp delicious chicken. sooo good! My sister is a big fan of the chicken and vegetables. It's great food for the price.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
